Grading criteria
The following criteria are relevant for determining grades:
Depth of technical understanding
- Was the talk technically accurate?
 - Did the presenter understand all material in the paper?
 - Did the presenter understand related notions, mentioned in or related to the paper? (i.e., go the "extra mile")
 - Was the presenter able to critically evaluate the material presented?
 
Quality and professionalism of presentation
- Was the talk well organized? Were the messages clear?
 - Were the slides clear (e.g., their layout, detail level, use of colors, etc.)?
 - Did the presenter speak clearly (articulation, speed, etc.)?
 - Did the presenter face the audience and speak without undue body animation?
 - Was time appropriately managed?
 
Question handling
- Did the presenter give clear and correct answers to questions?
 
Active participation
- Did the student actively participate in other talks? E.g., ask good questions based on his/her own reading of the paper?
 
The grades will be announced at the end of the semester to be able to take active participation into account.
